GANYMEDE ARTS TO HOST SECOND ANNUAL FUNDRAISING BACHELOR AUCTION ON MAY 16 AT TOWN NIGHTCLUB

Ganymede Arts will host the 2nd Annual Fundraising Bachelor Auction on May 16th, 2009 at Town Nightclub, which is located at 2009 8th Street Northwest. The doors will open at 8:00pm for registration, and the auction will begin promptly at 9:00pm.

HOW THIS EVENT WILL HELP US
At last year’s Bachelor Auction, Nellie’s Sports Bar saw a significant attendance of over 100 people who joined us for the evening’s festivities. We raised over $4500 for the 2008 Fall Arts Festival, which saw wonderful performances by a variety of special guests, including Tony-nominee Justin Bond and Holly Woodlawn (co-sponsored by One In Ten), as well as the beginning of our relationship with SMYAL (Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League) for our exciting GLBT Youth Day talent show. The most rewarding aspect of the festival is that it brought the GLBT community of District of Columbia together for two weeks of celebration of our accomplishments in theatre, music, dance, and the visual arts.

LENA LETT
Once again, this year’s auctioneer hostess will be the incomparable Lena Lett, bringing her brand of live wire comedy to spice up the night and lower our bachelors’… inhibitions!

THE PRIZES
If you weren’t present for last year’s auction, ten sexy, eligible bachelors will be auctioned live. Each bachelor will come with a prize package, including dinner for two at a local restaurant, tickets to entertainment, as well as various retail gift certificates. For those who do not wish to bid on our bachelors, there will be several raffle drawings throughout the evening, including a $1300 Private Party for 50 guests with open bar at Town Nightclub! Additional prizes include tickets to Arena Stage, The Shakespeare Theatre Company, Studio Theatre, Washington National Opera, Washington National Ballet, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, Signature Theatre, VIP Passes to Reel Affirmations, 1 month free membership to Results The Gym and Vida Fitness, to name just a few.
